Steinhoff has a 21% stake in KAP, a diversified industrial company with several operations that offer significant synergies for the Steinhoff Group. Feltex Automotive is one of South Africa’s largest automotive component manufacturers, with four facilities close to the assembly plants of original equipment manufacturers. Other interests include industrial footwear, Hosaf Fibres, Bull Brand Foods, Jordan shoes and Glodina textiles. The investment in
KAP provides a strategic alternative for Steinhoff’s raw material division – principally in foam, textiles and leather –and reduces the group’s dependence on the furniture industry.
