Steinhoff’s logistics division develops strategic networks for the efficient and reliable distribution of our products in southern Africa, aiming to create a single, cost-effective regional channel for distributing household goods from the factory to the end consumer.
Steinhoff acquired control of the JSE-listed
Unitrans group in January 2005.
Unitrans is a respected freight, logistics and motor retail group with a substantial sub-Saharan footprint. Its recent entry into the United Kingdom market is an appropriate springboard for expansion into the broader EU region.
Unitrans
has diverse complementary business interests in logistics, distribution and associated services. These include supply chain and re-engineering services, freight and passenger transport, warehousing, breakbulk services, vehicle retailing, fleet management and vehicle leasing, insurance and car rental.
