market, offering a broad product spectrum ranging from mass-produced catalogue
furniture to high-quality branded products through a network of trading,
manufacturing, distribution and retail operations. Our trading companies and
distribution centres are located throughout Europe while manufacturing
operations are located mainly in Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Germany, UK and the
Netherlands. Our centralised international sourcing division is in China. The
retail operations are situated in United Kingdom and Hungary.
Products manufactured in our European facilities are sold to western
European retailers, including our own retail outlets.
Our strategy is to source and produce goods in lower-cost emerging economies
and sell into developed economies.

Pacific Rim
|
Regional operations are managed by Steinhoff Pacific, and include the operations of Australian retailer,
Freedom
Group. Freedom is the second-largest retailer of furniture and household goods in Australia and has expanded into New Zealand through the acquisition of the Levene stores.
It also offers bedding products through Snooze.
In the Pacific Rim, Steinhoff manufactures and distributes leading brands of furniture and household goods.
To counter subdued consumer confidence and spending patterns in the Pacific Rim region, Freedom has been relaunched with excellent results. The brand’s appeal has been broadened while maintaining the focus on stylish solutions at great value. The innovative
BayLeatherRepublic concept of stores-in-stores
was introduced recently to the major markets of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane/Gold Coast.

aims to become the market leader in aspirational and contemporary leather furniture.
